January-February 2015 Prayer Letter

Dear Pastor, Church Family, and Co-laborer,

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;”Titus 3:4. One of the most effective things the devil does to keep people from being saved is to convince them that grace is not enough—that there are things they must do or not do in order to be saved. Yet the message of Scripture is clear and repeated again and again. Our salvation has nothing to do with our merit or our works. Salvation is completely and totally a work of God, apart from any contribution from us. What a blessing it is to be able to share this message of grace to those in the jails and prisons who often feel like they have no hope and then to see God do a work in their hearts. We are so thankful for each one of you who gives to our ministry, as well as those who spend time praying for our family. Thank you for partnering with us in spreading the wonderful message of grace! We could not do what God has called us to do without your faithful support and without each prayer you pray. We pray that God meets all of your needs and blesses all of you with the riches of His grace!

During the month of January, God moved in a mighty way at our regular service in Yancey County jail! After our services there, four men came forward and called on God for salvation. What a blessing it is to see God work in the hearts of others. These men had been coming to our services for a while and had not made a move toward God but that night they ran to Calvary and got their sins under the blood of Christ! One young man that came forward said that he thought he had gotten saved as a child but God revealed to him that all he had was a profession but no possession. It still takes Holy Ghost conviction to save sinners and I’m glad He is still drawing people unto repentance. Please pray for these men as well as those who are still lost in their sins. They are some that know they need God but just keep refusing to come to him. We are praying for God to continue to draw them and save them before it is to late!

God has blessed at our other facilities over the last two months as well. No one has gotten saved at any other facility but we have planted a lot of seeds and were able to encourage those that are already serving the Lord! They are many in the prisons that are already saved and just need to be discipled so they can grow in their faith. What a blessing to be able to take the word of God and encourage others to serve the Lord. Please pray for those that are saved that they can be what God would have them to be for His glory!

We have a very busy schedule in the upcoming months and we are very excited to see what God is going to do! Please continue to pray for our family as we endeavor to do our part in carrying out the great commission. Also, please say a special prayer for Missy. She has had a rough couple of months dealing with kidney stones.  As many of you know, these are very painful and are hard to deal with so we would ask that you would lift her up to the Lord as you pray!

Thank you again for all you do for our family. We are so grateful to the Lord for allowing our paths to cross with so many great people and churches. If anyone would like for us to come by and give an update on what God is doing, please contact us and we would be glad to come back by. May the grace of our precious Lord be with you always! God Bless!

                     There Is Hope,
