July-August 2011 Prayer Letter

 July-August 2011 Prayer Letter

Dear Pastor, Church Family, and Co-laborers,
“The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger and of great mercy” (Ps 145:8).  The word grace is defined as the free and undeserved love and favor of God. Any good that we receive from God is all a direct result of His grace. The Lord truly has been gracious to our family and we hope that each of you is enjoying the good grace and mercy of our loving Saviour.
The ministry is going well. We are now in the public school teaching character classes. Once a week we are allowed to volunteer in our local school and teach the seventh and eight grades. What a blessing this is already turning out to be. Pray about this part of our ministry, that we can reach these young people. It is our desire to encourage and teach them the right character skills that they may make the right decisions in life and that we might be a light in the public school to point others to Christ. This is a tremendous opportunity and no doubt the devil will be on the attack. Just pray for the Lord to direct our paths as we are in the school system.
In the last month we have seen 10 professions of faith in the prison ministry. One man got saved at Craggy Correctional and nine young men got saved at Western Youth Institute.  The Lord has really blessed the services in WYI. I approached one young man that made a profession in one of the services in WYI and asked him if he had a bible. He began to tell me that he had one at home and that he was getting out the very next day. This young man got saved his last night in prison. What a blessing this was. Please pray for those that are in prison that make professions of faith, often times they face a lot of opposition when they start turning away from gangs and others that influence their lives.  Please pray for this part of our ministry that God would open new doors for us to reach the incarcerated of America.  We are in the process of getting into a couple more facilities. Pray this goes well.
We are now about 65% of our needed support level. We would love to be close to 100% by the end of the year. This may seem like a reach but HE is still able to supply all our need according to his riches in glory and he has been faithful to do abundantly above all we can think or ask. We have several meetings in the next few months please help us pray that more churches would feel our burden and partner with us to reach those that are incarcerated.
We would like to once again thank each of you for all you do for our family.  We could not do what God has called us to do without all the prayers and financial support each of you provide. May the grace of our precious Lord be with you all.

             There Is Hope,
