July-August 2015 Prayer Letter

Dear Pastor, Church Family, and Co-laborer,

Greetings in the name of our wonderful Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we hope this letter finds each of you enjoying the blessings of God. The Lord truly has been good to us and we are excited once again to be writing this letter to share what great things the Lord has done!

These last couple of months we have been very busy in the Lord’s work. Besides our regular jail and prison services we were allowed the great privilege to be a part of three separate youth camps! This was truly a blessing to be able to preach to so many young people and encourage them to serve the Lord with all their hearts! In one of the meetings we had a young man trust Christ as his Saviour. Many others were stirred and encouraged during these camps. Please help us pray for our younger generation that God would move and give them a greater desire to dedicate their lives unto the Lord!

The Lord has blessed in our jail and prison meetings as well. We have seen several men trust the Lord in our regular services since our last letter. In the last two months two men at Craggy Correctional, four men at Yancey County Jail, and two men at Graham County Jail all called on the Lord for salvation! It is always a blessing to see people get troubled about their condition before God and turn to Him for salvation! Please help me pray for these men as they begin their walk with the Lord. Also, pray for those that have been coming but have not accepted Christ as of yet. The Lord has really blessed lately at Buncombe County Jail. We haven’t seen anyone saved in our services there but the Lord has given tremendous liberty in sharing the word of God! We are praying that the good Word of God would continue to deal with their hearts and that they would turn to the Lord Jesus! During the month of August we were able to go to Sampson Correctional in Clinton NC for a prison revival. The Lord blessed during this meeting and we saw four men trust Christ as their Saviour.

Many have asked how Abbey, oldest daughter, was doing with her thyroid condition.  As many of you know, she had some trouble with her thyroid and we were very concerned about her condition. She had to have a treatment to kill her thyroid function and now is being treated with medication. She is doing great now. The doctors have finally got her medication right and she seems to be having no trouble with it. We praise the Lord for helping her through this! We would like to thank all that prayed and have been praying for her health. It was a great comfort to our family to know that so many of you were praying for the Lord to touch her and we cannot express how much that meant to us!

Please continue to pray for our family as we travel and endeavor to reach others with the glorious Gospel of Christ! Thank you again for your continued prayers and support. We don’t take that for granted but we pray for you all continually that God would supply all your need according to his riches in glory! May the grace of our precious Lord be with you all.

                There Is Hope,
