July-August 2017 Prayer Letter

Dear Pastor, Church Family, and Co-laborers,

Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we trust this letter finds each of you enjoying the many blessings of our wonderful Saviour! It has been a very busy couple of months since our last letter and we praise the Lord for allowing us to stay busy for Him!

We started out July preaching a youth camp for Calvary Baptist Church of Amory MS. We have been involved in this meeting for the last few years and it is always a tremendous blessing! The Lord gave us a great week of fun, food, and fellowship. God moved in each and every service and three young men called on the Lord for salvation. From there we were at Craggy Correctional minimum facility, where we had a great service with several inmates in attendance. Also during the month of July, we took around 60 backpacks of supplies to the Chattanooga TN area and disturbed among the homeless population there. The Lord blessed this outreach and we were able to share the Gospel with many through this! God used this and we saw two individuals call on the Lord for salvation. One of the individuals that got saved was a young man who had never heard a clear presentation of the Gospel. He told us he had never been in church much in his life, and that he knew nothing about the bible or the way to heaven. After sometime of sharing the word of God with him, he realized his need for a Saviour and called on the Lord. So many are just like this young man and have never heard the truth of the scriptures. God help us to be about the father’s business in these days. Sharing the good news of the glorious Gospel of Christ!! We would like to thank Rowlands Creek Baptist Church and their pastor Bro. Dana Dockery for preparing these bags and helping in delivering them.

God really blessed in our regular services at Craggy Correctional, Yancey County Jail, and the Graham County Jail during the month of August. A total of four men asked the Lord to save them during these meetings. Also during August, we traveled to Tampa FL for a revival at a juvenile detention center. The devil tried to hinder the meeting there but, the Lord overcame the obstacles and three young men asked the Lord to save them.

The Lord has given me an opportunity to go on my first foreign mission trip to Ghana, West Africa in October. We will be flying out on October 30th and returning on November 9th. During this trip, we will be able to minister in the schools, the prisons and possibly even in one of their banking centers. Also, we will be doing some ministry on the streets and working with some national pastors in the area. This is exciting and we are asking you to make this a matter of prayer. First off, pray for our safety as we travel and while we are in the country. Also, pray the Lord would touch hearts and we would see many saved by the grace of God.

Thank you again for all you do for our family. We are so grateful to the Lord for allowing our paths to cross with so many great people and churches. If anyone would like for us to come by and give an update on what God is doing, please contact us and we would be glad to come back by. May the grace of our precious Lord be with you always! God Bless!
