Dear Pastor, Church Family, and Co-laborers,

Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we trust this letter finds each of you doing well! It is a privilege to report to you one more time about all that the Lord is doing in our lives.

We started out the month of July preaching a youth camp for Calvary Baptist Church of Amory MS. We have been involved in this meeting for the last few years and it is always a tremendous blessing! The Church and their precious pastor do a wonderful job putting on this camp and we are grateful they allow us the opportunity to be a part of it. The Lord moved in a mighty way in every service! By the end of the week, we had seven young people call on the Lord for salvation. We are so thankful for all He done during this camp! Our regular services in the prisons and jails were very productive in July as well! We had one saved in Craggy Correctional, one saved in Yancey County Jail, and one in the Graham County Jail.

For the last couple of years, Rowlands Creek Baptist Church and their pastor Bro. Dana Dockery have packed several backpacks for the homeless ministry during their vacation bible school. This year they worked hard and put together around a hundred backpacks full of food and hygiene products, and we are thankful for their labor and donations toward this project. We were able to take them to Chattanooga TN and distribute them to the large homeless population in that area. God blessed and every individual who received a backpack also received the Gospel message. Please help us pray that the Lord would give the increase and many would be saved through this outreach.

God really blessed in our regular services at Craggy Correctional, Yancey County Jail, and the Graham County Jail during the month of August. We had two saved at Craggy Correctional during our services there. We also had a tremendous time at the Yancey County jail and five men called on the Lord for salvation. One of those that got saved was a young man from Miami FL which had recently moved to NC. He began to tell us that he had never heard what we were preaching to him. He had been baptized at a young age but had never heard that Jesus was the only way to heaven. After explaining the Gospel and showing him the scriptures, he saw his need for a Saviour and called on the Lord for salvation. It is a sobering thought to realize so many in this country have never heard a clear presentation of the Gospel but that is a reality in our day. Pray for this young man that the Lord would use him to reach his family with Gospel of the Lord Jesus.

We closed out August in our annual Prayer Baptist Missions International missions conference at Gateway Baptist Church in Boiling Springs, SC. The Lord blessed each day and we had a tremendous time in the Lord. We are thankful for the encouragement we received during this meeting!

Please keep our family in your prayers. We recently discovered that Missy’s father has a very large mass in his right lung. He will be having a biopsy to determine exactly what type of cancer he is dealing with in the coming days. Please help us earnestly pray for the Lord to touch him and for the doctors to have wisdom regarding his treatment. Thank you again for your love, prayers, and support.
