May-June 2011 Prayer Letter

May-June 2011 Prayer Letter

Dear Pastor, Church Family, and Co-laborers,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We are excited once again to be writing you all to share what God has been doing in our lives. A lot has  happened in the past couple of months. As I mentioned in our last letter, the last week in April I left my job and went full time and since then we have been very busy.
As far as deputation goes, things are going well. The Lord has opened many doors and allowed us to be in several churches sharing our burden for the incarcerated of America. We have had five new churches take us on for support and we are so grateful to those who give to allow us to do what God has called us to do. Please continue to pray for us as we have a very busy schedule in the coming months.  We have meetings in VA, NC, TN, SC, AL, and MS. We will be on the road the biggest part of July and August. Please pray that the Lord will watch over us as we travel and that more churches will partner with us in reaching those in prison with the Gospel.
The ministry is continuing to grow. We have had three youth meetings and a revival in May and June in different churches. The Lord blessed these meetings and moved in a mighty way. Recently, the Lord opened a door in Western Youth Inst. We are now going to this youth prison once a week and having service with these juveniles. The Lord has blessed this already, in our last service two young men acknowledged their need for salvation. They would not come forward but promised that they would keep coming. Please pray for the salvation of these young men and that the Lord would bless the work there. In May we had a middle aged man get saved in our regular service at Craggy Correctional. After I preached, he came forward under conviction. He said he had a made a profession years earlier, but the Lord showed him he was lost and he needed to be saved. He cried out for mercy and got saved by the Grace of God. Glory! What a blessing to see the Lord work on hearts and lives. Please pray for the prisons we are currently in and that the Lord would continue to open doors for us to reach those that are incarcerated.  Also, starting next year we will be in the public school system in our county doing prison prevention classes. We are currently trying to get into other schools in our surrounding areas. This is very exciting. Please pray that God would open doors and use this for His glory.
The family is doing well. The kids are done with school for the summer and they are excited about getting to travel and see new places this summer. Missy has had some trouble with kidney stones the last little while. She seems to be doing some better now though. Please pray that the Lord would continue to touch her. As some may know, this is very painful.
Thank you again for all you do for our family. We are so grateful to the Lord for allowing our paths to cross with so many great people and churches. Keep praying for our family and our ministry. We desire for God to be honored in everything we do. We love each one of you and look forward to seeing or hearing from you soon.
                    There Is Hope,
