May-June 2013 Prayer Letter

May-June 2013 Prayer Letter

Dear Pastor, Church Family, and Co-laborer,

“For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.” Colossians 1:19-20

Jesus Christ on the cross provided peace! Sin was not overlooked but it was dealt with and paid in full!! God’s greatest righteousness confronted man’s greatest wickedness, and righteousness won and peace was attained through the blood of the cross. What a blessing to know that there is hope for the vilest of sinner because of the precious blood that was shed on the cross! What a message we have to take to the world and what a privilege to be called upon to take this glorious truth to the incarcerated of America!

We have had two men saved at Yancey County Jail, two saved at Graham County Jail, and one saved at Western Youth Institute since our last letter! Pray for these men and for the men at the other facilities we visit regularly. In July we will be having a revival at Craggy Correctional and we are looking for the Lord to do great things in the hearts of the men there. Recently, I met with the chaplain at Foothills Correctional and it looks as if God is going to open the door at this facility. Please continue to pray as we are working on getting into more prisons in the near future. There are so many needs in so many different prisons we just want to do everything we can to reach those that are incarcerated with the gospel of the Lord Jesus!

In May we finished our second full year of character classes in the public school. The Lord opened the door for me to share the gospel there many times through out this past school year! Please pray about this part of the ministry that God would help us to be a light in the public school.

We have been able to hand out several backpacks to the homeless in many different towns. We have witnessed homeless people in Morganton NC, Asheville NC, Yadkinville NC, and in Knoxville TN! We witnessed to a man, by the name of Vince, in Morganton NC that said he was dying of throat cancer from a life of alcohol use. Vince professed to be saved but said he had walked away from God and had destroyed his life. Pray for Vince that he would get right with God and that the Lord would help him in the days ahead! There are so many people living on the streets that just need someone to tell them that God loves and cares for them!

We would like to say thank you for your continued prayers and support. It is humbling to know that God’s people give so we can do the work that God has called us to do. We don’t take that for granted but we pray for you all continually that God would supply all your need according to his riches in glory! Help us pray that we can raise the rest of our needed support and that God would continue to use our family to reach others with the gospel. If you would like for us to come by to give your church an update just give us a call and we would be glad to do that. Thanks again and God Bless!!
