May-June 2014 Prayer Letter

Dear Pastor, Church Family, and Co-laborer,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we hope this letter finds each of you enjoying the blessings of God.  Let me first start off by apologizing that this letter is a little late. We have been very busy this summer and we have been on the road almost every day!

After we finished up the school year in the public school we were able to go to New Mexico to help my brother in his church plant. We had a great time visiting family and seeing his work. While we were there, we were able to help him put the Gospel in over 900 homes. Many that we spoke with had never heard a clear presentation of the Gospel before. It is sad to see so many people in our own country that do not know the truth of the word of God. We are thankful for this great privilege of spreading the good news of our Saviour! What a blessing it was to be able to do the Lord’s work with our family.

The Lord has blessed greatly in the jail and prison ministry. Since our last letter we have had two saved at Craggy Correctional, three saved at Graham County Jail, and one saved in Yancey County Jail! One of these young men that got saved was in jail along side of his father. The young man’s dad said that he was saved but he had walked out of God’s will several years ago. He said he had lost everything and was on the bottom. We prayed with him and encouraged him to turn back to the Lord and serve him.  Please pray for this father and son that the Lord would continue to do a work in their lives.

The Lord recently opened the door on the women’s side of Yancey County Jail! Missy and another lady from a supporting church were able to go in and hold a bible study while we were holding services on the men’s side. This was an answer to prayer. We had been praying about the possibility of opening up some women’s facilities and the Lord opened this door. We are also currently working on opening up another women’s facility! Please be much in prayer about these new doors that God would bless and change lives through the power of the Gospel!

The Lord allowed us to be a part of our home church’s annual youth conference at the end of June. The Lord moved in a mighty way and the meeting broke out into revival. In two weeks we had fifteen people call on the Lord for salvation! We are so thankful for the move of God we experienced during this meeting! To God be all the Glory!!

We would like to once again thank each of you for all you do for our family. We could not do what God has called us to do without all the prayers and financial support each of you provide. Please continue to pray for us as we endeavor to carry out the great commission. If anyone would like for us to come by and give an update on what God is doing, please contact us and we would be glad to come back by. May the grace of our precious Lord be with you always! God Bless!

              There Is Hope,
