November-December 2012 Prayer Letter

November-December 2012 Prayer Letter

Dear Pastor, Church Family, and Co-laborer,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We hope this letter finds each of you enjoying the blessings of God.  It’s hard to believe that we are already heading into a new year. The Lord has blessed our family and our ministry this past year more than we could ever imagine. We have been in some great churches and met a lot of wonderful people. We are so thankful for all who take part in our ministry. We could not do what we do with out your continued support and prayers. Also, we would like to thank each one for all the cards and the extra gifts that were sent our way over the holiday season. You helped make this a wonderful Christmas for our family and for that we are very grateful!

In November we had a revival at WYI in Morganton NC. God blessed at this facility and we had several young men make professions of faith. This is the youth facility that I go to on a weekly basis and several of the young men that made professions have been attending the weekly services there. This is a blessing to see these young men have a desire to grow in their faith and learn about the word of God. Keep praying for these young men in this facility that they would allow God to work in their hearts and lives. There has been three young men call on God for salvation since the revival there and several that has been coming to the services who acknowledge their need for salvation!

We were also in Walnut Grove MS for another revival at a youth facility. God really moved there and many turned to Christ! One young man that I spoke with that week said he was a Muslim and wasn’t interested in Christ. I sat down and began to speak with him about what Christ could do for him. After a few minutes he turned to me and said “God can’t forgive me, I’m a murderer!” I just simply took the scriptures and showed him what the word of God said about forgiveness! That Christ died for every sin and every sinner!!  After he realized that God was able to forgive him of his sin, he wanted to give his life to Christ and ask God to forgive him and he did! As soon as he called on God for forgiveness and salvation, he went through the dorm telling everyone that God could save a murderer even one that killed a whole houseful of people. I am glad God is still able to save to the uttermost all them that call on him!

With the help of some churches we have been able to hand out several bags to the homeless the last couple of months. The day after Christmas Missy and I went to Knoxville TN to hand out a few bags and witness to some of the homeless there. As we were giving out a few bags, we ran into a family with a young child (little girl) that was living in a car. We gave them all a bag including the little girl. A church in our area had packed us some homeless bags to give out and one of them was a little girl backpack so we gave it to her. She was so happy that she got something for Christmas after all! Please pray for this ministry. There are so many out there that are living on the streets without a warm place to sleep, but the saddest part is that so many of them are lost without Christ. It is our desire to help them with a few supplies but most importantly reach them with Gospel of the Lord Jesus! That’s why we fill every bag with several tracts and a bible. Please pray for this new outreach, that God would help us to reach these people.

We are looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us this year. Please pray for us as we try to run the race that the Lord has placed us on. We already have a lot going on in the coming months and we are praying for the Lord to open many new doors in the days ahead. Thanks again for all you do.  May the grace of our precious Lord be with you always! God Bless!

          There Is Hope,

                   Todd, Missy, Abbey, and Emily
